We’re excited to announce that Stuart Smith (Vice President, Finance – Duke University Health System) has joined Murphi.ai as a Board Advisor.

Stuart brings more than three decades of leadership in healthcare innovation, financial strategy, and operational transformation. A respected figure in the Raleigh–Durham healthcare ecosystem, he earned his MHA from Duke University and has been deeply connected to Duke’s health-system, finance, and innovation initiatives throughout his career. His background spans health system growth, managed care strategy, payer–provider relationships, and the financial and operational leadership required to run large, complex healthcare organizations.

In his advisory role with Murphi.ai, Stuart will provide strategic guidance across our business, product, go-to-market, financial, and people strategies. His expertise will be instrumental as we strengthen our leadership position in AI automation for health systems, and as we expand our platform across EHRs, behavioral and mental health, and the broader post-acute care continuum.

Stuart will play a particularly important role in shaping the launch and expansion of Contract Optimizer, our enterprise RCM automation modules, and our AI-driven tools for documentation, coding, compliance, and care workflows. His experience leading financial and operational programs in one of the nation’s most respected health systems gives Murphi.ai a powerful edge as we scale into more complex healthcare environments.
